The Fateful Trilogy continues with Fractured. No, it's not called Fractured because Ethan and Danielle break up, because they don't...in case you were wondering. 

They had thought they'd escaped most of the danger surrounding them, when in truth they've made it worse by unintentionally sparking a civil war amongst vampires. Many vampires want to protect them for discovering the cure to the curse binding their kind. However many more want to destroy them for that same discovery.

 Ethan's and Danielle's struggle for survival intensifies while they sink deeper into the midst of this danger. The romantic fairytale bliss they once had will soon fracture under the pressure of the curse....

Cheri Schmidt offers a different adventure with this sequel to Fatful. Ethan tries to get acquainted with his mortal life thanks to Danielle. While he is pleased to be able to plan a future with Danielle, it seems like he is struggling with the loss of some of his immortal powers.

Danielle is struggling to overcompensate for the loss by showing him all his mortal life has to offer. Anyway, it seems that being mortal has its drawbacks when you have an army of immortals for you. Many other supernatural creatures are introduced in this story, adding to the danger lurking around every corner.

As the news spread far and wide that someone has found a cure for this curse, Ethan and Danielle is forced to take drastic measures to ensure their safety. There are many new characters introduced in this book, which I found quite intruding and beneficial in this amazing story.

But be assured the loved favorites from the Fateful book are still a big part of this story too.

I look forward to seeing what the final book has to offer, and where it will go for Ethan and Danielle in the future.

With love and loss that this book turns out to be as good if not better than the first.
